eGullet had a thread about designing the Slope (or Theoretical Slope) cocktail as part of the Brooklyn/Red Hook/Manhattan variants I guess as a homage to Park Slope. People gave lots of suggestions for the theoretical slope cocktail. The one we made from that list was 1 1/2 oz Rittenhouse Rye, 3/4 Punt e Mes, and 3/4 oz R&W Orchard Apricot.

It also gives another recipe (which might be the Flatiron Bar's (the creator's) real recipe). The theoretical part of the Slope was figuring out how to re-create the cocktail at home since they didn't know the exact ratios.
