3/4 oz Lemon Juice
3/4 oz Amaro Montenegro
1/2 oz Honey Syrup
2 dash Angostura Bitters
Shake with ice, strain into an old fashioned glass with ice, and garnish with an orange twist.

quality versus quantity does not have to be a winner-take-all proposition.

I made this cocktail on Sunday and, being a scotch lover, am always interested how scotch works with other flavors. The Crooked Smile was one of the more enjoyable scotch & citrus cocktails I've tasted. I used 1 1/4 oz Ballantine's + 1/4 oz Ardbeg Uigeadail. I felt the Ardbeg gave it a depth of flavor that made me want to keep it in the rotation & try other bottles of Islay. I've made many cocktails from your blogspot over the last three to four months, and am always interested to learn about new bottles from the original recipe or your substitutions.
