1 bsp Espadin Mezcal (Fidencio)
2 dash Bittermens Mole Bitters
1 dash Angostura Bitters

On Christmas Eve, I selected Nico Martini's
Texas Cocktails for something to round out the evening. There, I spotted the Agave Manhattan called the Distrito Federal crafted by Houston Eaves at El Mirador in San Antonio in 2016. While the combination reminded me of a less complex
Morningside Heights, its simplicity spoke well to the moment. Once prepared, the Distrito Federal greeted the senses with fresh grapefruit oil aromas that mingled with the vegetal agave notes. Next, a grape-driven sip led into agave with a hint of smoke on the swallow with a chocolate, clove, and allspice finish.
