1/2 oz Light Puerto Rican Rum (Caliche)
Juice 1 Lime (1/2 oz)
1/2 oz Passion Fruit Nectar (Goya)

Blend with 1/2 scoop of ice and pour into a bamboo cup. Top with ice and decorate with mint and a fruit stick.
Two Saturdays ago, I was flipping through Trader Vic's 1974
Rum Cookery & Drinkery book and spotted the Zamboanga Punch. The Punch was not a riff on the
Zamboanga Cocktail from Charles H. Baker Jr.'s
The Gentleman's Companion but instead was a Trader Vic original. Once mixed, the Zamboanga Punch shared a mint and floral aroma that led into a fruity sip filled with lime, berry, and caramel flavors. Finally, the swallow rounded off the drink with funky rum and passion fruit notes being muted by dark spice.
