2 dash Bittermens Mole Bitters
2 bsp Tempus Fugit Crème de Cacao (1/4 oz)
1 oz Appleton Estate 12 Year Rum (Appleton Reserve)
1 oz Old Forester Bonded Bourbon (Old Grand-Dad Bonded)
Salt or Saline Solution to Taste (1 pinch Salt)
Build in a rocks glass, add ice, and stir.
Two Saturdays ago, I reached for Amanda Schuster's
New York Cocktails and landed on the Armande. The recipe was crafted by Naomi Lesley at Dear Irving as a tribute to the character from the film
Chocolat. Once built, the Armande gave forth a Bourbon aroma with darker notes and a hint of chocolate on the nose. Next, caramel on the sip transitioned into whiskey, rum, and caramel-chocolate flavors on the swallow.
