For a nightcap after my work shift two Saturdays ago, I reached for the
NoMad Cocktail Book and spotted the Thick as Thieves. Opposed to the one by
Toby Maloney, this one was created by Alex Lerman and featured a rum-Irish whiskey base with sherry and tropical notes. Once assembled, it donated an anise aroma to the nose. Next, maple, grape, and caramel offered up a rich sip, and the swallow showcased smoke, whiskey, rum, and banana flavors with a chocolate and anise finish.
