1 oz Del Maguey Mezcal Vida (Peloton de la Muerte)
1 oz Tariquet VS Armagnac (Marie Duffau Napoleon Armagnac)
1 tsp Maple Syrup
1/2 tsp St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram (Hamilton's)
1 dash Orange Bitters (Angostura Orange)
1 dash Angostura Bitters
Stir with ice, strain into a double old fashioned glass with a large ice cube, and garnish with a flamed orange twist (unflamed).

Welcome Home, and found another recipe that would utilize Armagnac. That one was the Black Powder by Scott Teague in 2013 that reminded me of the
3am on Saint Mark's Place given the split spirit Old Fashioned style containing mezcal and maple. Here, the Black Powder lit things off with orange, grape, vegetal, and smoke aromas. Next, grape and maple notes on the sip fired into brandy, smoky mezcal, maple, and allspice flavors on the swallow.
