Two Wednesdays ago, I returned to the Pouring Ribbons flashcard set and selected the Exile on Main St from their Fall 2014 menu. The Cardamaro-Benedictine duo in this Vieux Carré riff reminded me of Joaquin Simo's
Midnight Mass at Death & Co. before he went on to open Pouring Ribbons a few years later in September of 2012. The drink named after a Rolling Stones album began with a lemon, caramel, and rum bouquet. Next, grape and caramel on the sip departed to Cognac, rum, and herbal flavors on the swallow.
