Two Saturdays ago, Al Sotack posted up the 2010 Franklin Mortgage & Investment Co.'s menu, and a few drinks stood out. I, therefore, searched the web for recipes, and I found a set of online cocktail flashcards which contained the drink spec for the Harry Rag that had caught my eye. Since most of the menu was musical references, perhaps it was named after The Kink's song that is also British slang for a cigarette; the cocktail was on their more adventurous part of the menu entitled "I Asked Her For Water She Gave Me Gasoline" that also contained the
Six Inch Gold Blade. Once prepared, the Harry Rag greeted the nose with a smoke, orange, and herbal aroma. Next, orange, malt, and caramel notes on the sip wafted into smoky Scotch, caramel orange, and herbal flavors on the swallow.
